"A Man After God's Own Heart"

Dr. William E. Judd was born June 23, 1952, to the late George Judd, Jr. and late Henrietta Cotton Judd.   He is the second of five children. Dr. Judd attended primary and high school in the Lee County School System. Upon graduating high school, he enlisted in the United States Air Force, where he served his country faithfully as a Security Policeman in the Strategic Air Command (SAC). During his tour of duty, he was stationed at Barksdale AFB, Shreveport, LA; Utopia, Thailand and SAC Great Falls, Montana. Dr. Judd was honorably discharged August 17, 1973, at the rank of Sergeant (E-4).

At the young age of 24, Dr. Judd received and accepted the call into the ministry in 1976, after a long illness that was never detected in the Medical Profession. His experience was much like the woman with the issue of blood who spent all she had in search for a cure and only grew worst. Well, Dr. Judd spent much to find out it was not a medical condition, but a spiritual one, that

only Dr. Jesus could cure. On Sunday, August 1, 1976, at the Mt. View A. M. E. Zion Church, Dr. Judd's life changed forever. As he stood behind the Holy Desk before a packed house, and took his text from Romans 8:1-5; his subject "Walk in the Spirit,"

In November 1976, Dr. Judd was "sent as a sheep in the midst of wolves, to be wise as a serpent and harmless as a dove." (St. Matthew 10:16) He was assigned to the Rose Hill A. M. E. Zion Church with 10 members and no church building, just walls two feet tall. Here was a young man facing one of many great challenges that would test his faith and trust in God. June of 1977, those ten members who worked hard everyday the sun shined, sold plates every Friday to finance their building project, worshipped in their new church that was PAID IN FULL.

One year later, November 1977, Dr. Judd was assigned to the Ebenezer A. M. E. Zion Church, Apex, North Carolina. He served this small congregation of 35 faithfully for three years and started a church expansion project. November 1980, he was assigned to Jordan Grove A. M. E. Zion Church. For the next seven years, he experienced church growth, purchased land for a new sanctuary and started a building fund drive. November 1980, the Bishop decided it was time for him to change venue one more time. This move removed him from the Durham District where he had experience eleven years as a successful pastor. This move placed him on the Raleigh District at the Grace A. M. E. Zion Church, Raleigh, North Carolina. In the sixteen years and two months Dr. Judd served this church, he experienced great spiritual growth as God blessed him with the office of Prophet then Apostle. The church grew mightily in the Lord as the membership grew from 65 to 600. A Pentecostal Experience was taking place as God added 125 members to the church annually with confessions of salvation every Sunday. The church was completely remodeled in 1992. Because of his ministerial record, Dr. Judd received the Honorary Doctor of Theology Degree from Victory International School of Theology, July 2003. Dr. Judd is thankful for the successful 27 years and 2 months that he served the A. M. E. Zion Church.

While serving the A. M. E. Zion Church, Dr. Judd was commissioned by God to start Judd Ministries, Incorporated, this ministry was born July 1995. After seven years of burning the candles at both ends (trying to serve the ministry and the A. M. E. Zion Church), Dr. Judd stepped out on faith, with complete trust in God, his wife, Mrs. Luerever Pridgen Judd, his daughter, Ms. Shimika S. McMillian and 120 members by his side, as they headed for the "Promise Land."

The "Promised Land" is 25 acres of anointed property, tucked away in Wake County in the township of Wendell, North Carolina, where the J. M. I. Non-Denominational Worship Center stands. Through the wilderness, we made it! To God be the Glory!
